Wow, so you are both a year older now huh? ;) Time goes by really fast huh..I will enjoy my youth, although I'm starting to feel older the longer I'm here haha.
The news about whether or not he was transfered:
Well found out last night that I have changes! I'm leaving this sector finally. It's been a long journey, haha but it was a good experience. I was expecting to go, I have a long time here and was ready to leave. So I'm happy :) I'm excited to know where I'll go, hopefully the coast! That'd be sweet. It will also be nice to have a new companion, one that I can be better friends with.I learned a lot about missionary work and about life in general. However, I am very ready to move on to another sector, meet different people, see different parts of the mission. I'm hoping that I'll be going to the coast, but we'll find out tomorrow in the morning. Today I'll just be going around to the different families here saying goodbye. Then tomorrow in the morning a member is driving us to the city (Santiago) a part called Republica where we also have the changes. Then President talks to us for a little bit then they put up this list and we all go and look. Then we find our new companions and they take us to our new sector. So thats what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Glad that things are a little warmer there, today is actually really nice. It's cloudy with a nice breeze. I heard about what happened in Haiti..it's sad, they are such a poor country and already didn't have much. Now all they had is in ruins. I only hope that the countries around the world do their part and help them as much as they need.
The work here this change went well, we were able to accomplish a lot. The high light of that being re-activating a woman and getting her 2 kids ready for baptism( who I won¡t have the privilege of baptizing now, but thats ok) and of course the baptism of Rosa. So it was good and now I'm excited to move on to a different sector and work there.
Doug was asked to give a short report on Jeff's mission in Church. He asked Jeff what he would like him to say:
Umm, tell them that things are going great, missionary work is hard sometimes and a lot of work, but that it is worth it because it is the work of the Lord. Tell them that the priesthood power that each of them holds is real, and that they were chosen before this life to be holders of that authority and have a purpose in this life and work to do. And also such a great potencial that they can reach. Always strive to do the Lords will and be worthy to use the priesthood. The Priesthood power is real and we always need to be ready and worthy to use it. It is such a great blessing to have in our lives.
Well, that's about it then, next Monday I'll be able to let you know where my new sector is. Should be interesting, but it'll be fun. Hope that everything is well and that you all have a great week!
Love and am praying for you all!
Love,Elder DeLong
